Quadriceps or the shorter and more common name, the Quads are 4 incredibly strong muscles located at the front of the thigh. the word quadriceps means "4 headed muscle of the femur" with quad obviously means 4 and ceps meaning "Head". 3 out of 4 muscles are named the Rectus Femoris , the Vastus lateralis, Vastus medialias, and the Vastus intermedius (hidden behind the Rectus Femoris)The quads for commm.jpg
