What is the AnatomyArchive?

The Vision

I wanted to create a learning website for artists that is free of ads and even more importantly free of paywalls.
Many times I found a cool website with useful information, only for it to be locked behind a subscription or similar. I think that's the trend right now and it's annoying. Ads would have been a more user friendly way to generate income, but they are also annoying.

As a result this website is a non profit project, because no ads and no subscriptions equals no money. Supporting individual artists if you like what they do is of course appreciated, but the overall theme of this website is free.

The "free to use" aspect

At the core this website is a source for information, so an easy way to spread this information is just as important. There should't be a big problem using any of this sites knowledge - here are my thoughts:
I saw a few of my professors at university cite Wikipedia in their presentations and I thought it would be cool if there would be a library for art teachers. I like the idea of learning with the AnatomyArchive for yourself but helping others improve sounds just as good. Thus I want to make it easy for anybody to use the content of this website for teaching and similar purposes. Doesn't matter if you just want to use a page you created yourself or the page of another creator.
