A simplified base for the head. When drawing the base circle, the excess parts on the sides are removed because the sides of the head are not perfectly round.

The skull simplified mostly focusing on the form and overall shape. Separated colors to focus on the change from the front plane of the face.

Some notes on the notes:

• There is a subtle dip, right above the knee, where the muscle ends. The more muscle a person has, the more pronounced this dip will be. Try and feel it on yourself!
• When you bend your knee the knee itself is lower than you would think. The "front" of a bent knee is actually where the femur ends. (This page isn't really about bones so I uh ,,, did not draw them very accurately here)

Tip on Human Head Proportions (HiroX)

This study is useful for drawing heads in perspective in a very simple fashion. Proportions is the key here!

The main deal with proportions is to remember the three divisions: Forehead, Nose, Mouth. ( Lips are almost half between what has been defined as mouth region). This can significantly help you drawing faces in perspective. Of course the proportions can differ by different facial structures or art styles but I usually keep this proportion for my standard face.
